Hunter x Hunter Manga Finally Schedules Volume 37 Release

hunter x hunter manga

It’s been four years since a collected volume of Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter manga has been published in Japan, but that drought is about to come to an end. The official Twitter account for the Shonen Jump editorial department announced that volume 37 is set to hit stands in Japan on November 4.

While this doesn’t contain any of the new material Togashi has been working hard on lately, it finally compiles chapters 381-390.

Hunter x Hunter volume 36 launched in Japan in October 2018, with VIZ Media’s English release following in August 2019.

Togashi recently touched further upon his poor health, and announced that he plans to increase his staff to help with production of future chapters.

VIZ Media publishes Hunter x Hunter in English and gave this description for the first volume:

“Gon might be a country boy, but he has high aspirations. Despite his Aunt Mito’s protests, Gon decides to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a legendary Hunter. The Hunter hopefuls begin their journey by storm-tossed ship, where Gon meets Leorio and Kurapika, the only other applicants who aren’t devastated by bouts of seasickness.

Having survived the terrors of the high seas, Gon and his companions now have to prove their worth in a variety of tests in order to find the elusive Exam Hall. And once they get there, will they ever leave alive…?”
