Kaina of the Great Snow Sea Anime Lines Up World Premiere Plans

Plans have been updated for the upcoming Kaina of the Great Snow Sea anime—based on a new story from Knights of Sidonia and Blame! creator Tsutomu Nihei—which is now set to kick off its broadcast in Japan in January 2023. Ahead of that, the first four episodes will make their worldwide debut at Crunchyroll Expo 2022 on Saturday, August 6 at 7:45pm Pacific Time.

Hiroaki Ando (Listeners, Ajin: Demi-Human) is directing the anime, with Sadayuki Murai (Natsume Yujin-cho) on series composition and Kohta Yamamoto handling music for the Polygon Pictures production. A simulcast is also planned for Crunchyroll in January 2023, and you can see the latest trailer and visual below.
