This October marks 30 years since the premiere of the Yu Yu Hakusho TV anime, which kicked off its broadcast in Japan back in 1992. With the adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga celebrating its anniversary, it’s only appropriate that it get a special logo to mark the occasion.
The anime’s official Twitter account revealed the logo, which of course features protagonist Yusuke Urameshi front and center. Check it out below, and look for a special memorial illustration to be unveiled on June 10 at 6:00pm Japan Time.
The Yu Yu Hakusho TV anime was produced by Studio Pierrot, and ran for 112 episodes from October 1992 to January 1995. The full series is available to stream on Crunchyroll, which describes it like so:
From cutting classes to brawling in the streets, Yusuke Urameshi is not your typical role model. In fact, this kid’s nothing more than a fourteen-year-old delinquent with a talent for trouble.
