Sound! Euphonium Anime Gets OVA in 2023, 3rd Season in 2024

More Sound! Euphonium anime is officially on the way, and fans are about to get spoiled with multiple projects over the next two years. First up in 2023 is a new theatrical OVA, based on the Ensemble Contest Arc. Then, in 2024, fans of the series will finally be treated to the third season of Kyoto Animation’s TV anime adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s novel series. 

The Sound! Euphonium OVA will hit Blu-ray around the same time as its limited theatrical run in Japan. Season 3 has been confirmed to take place during Kumiko’s third year of school, so stay tuned for more details as we get closer to its release year. Both projects were announced during an event for the series, and the news was paired with the teaser promo below.

Crunchyroll streams the Kyoto Animation series and describes it:

Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
