Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside author Zappon recently went through some scary things, but thankfully they appear to be okay in the long run. Zappon explained in a series of tweets that they were strolling along on the sidewalk when they got hit by a car. This led to a bone fracture, which in turn led to hospitalization and surgery.
Luckily Zappon has since tweeted that the surgery went well. There’s not a lot of information (like why a car was on the sidewalk to begin with), but it appears the author is going to be just fine.
The Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside light novels are published in America by Yen Press, and the publisher gave this description of the first volume’s setup:
“A heroic and mighty adventurer dreams of…opening a pharmacy?

Zappon launched the series in 2017 and continues to publish more. The novels have received a manga adaptation done by Masahiro Ikeno. The anime adaptation debuts next month on October 6, and will be streamed in America by Funimation. It’s additionally getting a video game called Slow living with Princess that will come out next month as well.
