Super Mario Bros. Movie Unveils Cast, Including Chris Pratt

Super Mario Bros. Movie Unveils Cast, Including Chris PrattIt’s a-me, guy from Jurassic World! Today Nintendo revealed the voice cast for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie, plus a release date of December 21, 2022.

The cast includes Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, Dennis Hopper—er, sorry, wrong movie.

Here’s the actual cast:

Mario: Chris Pratt
Luigi: Charlie Day
Princess Peach: Anna Taylor-Joy
Jack Black: Bowser
Donkey Kong: Seth Rogen
Toad: Keegan-Michael Key
Cranky Kong: Fred Armisen
Kamek: Kevin Michael Richardson
Spike: Sebastian Maniscalco

Nintendo also promises “surprise cameos” from Charles Martinet, the longtime voice of Mario in the games.

The film will be directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!), written by Matthew Fogel, and animated at Illumination. One of the producers on the film is Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, who is “front and center” in its creation. Hopefully that’ll help it avoid the fate of the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie. Wait, who am I kidding, I love that movie.
