Pokémon Evolutions Anime Gets Nostalgic with Region-Specific Stories

At this point, the Pokémon series has a ton of history behind it, and the new Pokémon Evolutions anime is looking to explore some of it. The new web series was announced this morning, with the aim of celebrating 25 years of Pokémon with episodes that focus on familiar stories from each region.
Pokémon Evolutions will start with a story from the latest region, Galar, followed by the oldest, Kanto. Check out a trailer and visual below.
OLM, which works on the main Pokémon anime, is producing the Pokémon Evolutions series in cooperation with The Pokémon Company International. Here’s the schedule and a mention of the regions each episode will focus on:
- “The Champion” featuring the Galar region – Released on September 9
- “The Eclipse” featuring the Alola region – Released on September 23
- “The Visionary” featuring the Kalos region – Released on October 7
- “The Plan” featuring the Unova region – Released on October 21
- “The Rival” featuring the Sinnoh region – Released on December 2
- “The Wish” featuring the Hoenn region – Released on December 9
- “The Show” featuring the Johto region – Released on December 16
- “The Discovery” featuring the Kanto region – Released on December 23
