With the Tokyo Olympics kicking off, we can expect a lot of TV anime to be making way for the broadcast across various networks in Japan. One of them is Shaman King, which is taking a two week break during the event. While quite a few NHK shows have already announced postponements, this is the first TV Tokyo anime to do so.
The official Twitter account announced plans to move episode 18 back a couple weeks, from its original July 29 air date to August 12. Episode 19 will follow on August 19, so everything is just going to be a little behind schedule moving forward.

The new anime adaptation of Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King manga premiered in Japan back in April. Fans outside of Japan are about to be treated to it, as well, because the Netflix debut is set for August 9.
