The Rising of the Shield Hero play was previously postponed due to COVID-19, but it finally made its big debut in Tokyo on July 15. To celebrate, the Kadokawa Anime Channel shared a look at the performance in the form of an opening clip, which introduces cast members Yuuya Uno (Naofumi Iwatani), Karin Isobe (Raphtalia), Yuuna Sekine (Filo), Yuuya Asato (Motoyasu Kitamura), Riki Tanimizu (Ren Amaki), and Taiga Fukazawa (Itsuki Kawasumi).
Ken Ougida (Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits stage plays) directs the play, which was originally set for performances from March to April 2020. The current rescheduled run will be performed at Tokyo’s Theater Sun Mall from July 15 to 25, and just a few same-day tickets remain.
