Pokémon GO released a letter addressed to “Trainers” that explains what’s up with the musically themed Pokémon GO Fest 2021, which will take place July 17-18.
The first day will have four themed habitat hours—Jungle, Desert Mountain, Ocean Beach, and Cave, followed by raids with Hitmontop, Cranidos, and Deino and more. Because the whole event has a music theme, musical Pokémon like Chimecho, Kricketot, Audino will make their presence known.
Continuing with the music festival part, the letter explained, “Help Professor Willow and the team leaders put on an incredible concert celebration by choosing between certain Pokémon to join the festivities. Complete this Special Research for special rewards, including an encounter with a Mythical Pokémon, a shirt avatar item, and an exclusive avatar pose!”
The second day will have more raids, and if you finish a Raid Battle, you get “an extra 10,000 XP in raid rewards.”
