Last month we finally got word that Evangelion 3.0+1.0 had a new release date, now setting its sights on a January 23, 2021 premiere in Japan. Driving its inevitable debut home further is veteran voice cast member Megumi Ogata, AKA the voice behind reluctant protagonist Shinji Ikari.
According to one of Ogata’s latest tweets, Japanese language dubbing for Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time is now complete.
Here’s a translation of the tweet via Crunchyroll:
“All Up” Just now, the dubbing for the “Shin Evangelion” movie has been completed!
Somehow, I feel like I want to cry.
My head hurts… (Screamed too much. LOL)
I feel like I’ve given it everything that I can.
All that’s left is to wait and enjoy the completion.
Thank you so very much.
Please look forward to January 23 of next year!
