SK8 the Infinity, the Hiroko Utsumi-helmed series about some sk8er bois, just landed a fresh trailer and a premiere date: January 9.

The show is animated at BONES, and features scripts by Ichiro Ohkouchi (Code Geass) and character designs by Michinori Chiba (Mobile Suit Gundam 00). Chiba will also serve as chief animation director along with Hiroki Kanno.
The show is about a sk8r boi named Reki, a sophomore in high school who gets caught up in an underground skateboard race in an abandoned mine. He’s joined by Ranga, another boi who’s never sk8d before, but soon joins in.
Hiroko Utsumi is known for directing series like Banana Fish and Free!.
Prepare to SK8 the Infinity this January 9!
