After giving us a taste with an animated promo for the Cells at Work! Code Black manga, a TV anime adaptation has officially been revealed! The spinoff written by Shigemitsu Harada and illustrated by Issei Hatsuyoshi—which has original manga author Akane Shimizu supervising—is coming to television broadcast in Japan in January 2021.
Hideyo Yamamoto (Strike the Blood) directs, with Hayashi Mori (Space Dandy) on series composition and Eiji Abiko (Last Hope) adapting character designs for the LIDEN FILMS production. Junya Enoki voices Red Blood Cell, Yoko Hikasa is White Blood Cell, and Kejiro Tsuda is the narrator.
