2020 Budokan Idol Anime Series Gets TrailerOshi ga Budokan Ittekuretara Shinu is a 2020 anime series about idol fandom. We’ve got a new look at the series, which hits screens in January, thanks to a trailer unveiled today.

The series, which translates to If My Favorite Pop Idol Made it to the Budokan, I Would Die, is about an idol fan named Eripiyo who is devoted to a minor member of a minor idol group far outside Tokyo. Eripiyo decides to cheer on her favorite idol until she makes it to the Budokan, one of Japan’s most famous music venues. At which point she will, if the title is any indication, die.

The anime is based on a manga by Auri Hirao, and is directed by Yusuke Yamamoto (Encouragement of Climb) with animation from 8-Bit. It stars Ai Fairouz as Eripiyo.
