Megalobox Anime Makes Its Toonami Debut This Saturday

In case it slipped your mind since the initial announcement, the Megalobox anime is about to make its English broadcast debut on Adult Swim’s Toonami block. The premiere of the series—which reboots the classic Ashita no Joe (Tomorrow’s Joe) manga—is set for this Saturday, so get ready to cheer on Junk Dog when his rise to the top begins on December 8 at midnight Eastern/Pacific time.

New episodes will air each Saturday in English-dubbed form. The dub cast includes Kaji Tang (Joe), Jason Marnocha (Coach Nanbu), Erica Mendez (Sachio), Lex Lang (Yuri), and Erika Harlacher (Yukiko).

Synopsis:

In MEGALOBOX, a young man with no origin and known only by his ring name “JNK.DOG” survives by fighting in rigged, underground matches of Megalobox, a form of fighting utilizing powered exoskeletons. Bored, resigned and unfulfilled, JD one day encounters Yuri, the reigning official champion of Megalobox!
