New Wake Up, Girls! TV Anime Revealed

A Wake Up, Girls! Festa 2016 Super Live event was held in Japan this weekend, serving up the perfect opportunity for some announcements. Chief among them is the reveal of plans for a new Wake Up, Girls! TV anime, which is currently set to broadcast sometime next year. New staff members and designs will be featured, with the same voice cast set to return for the project along with new characters.

The director this time around will be Shin Itagaki (Teekyū, storyboards for Wake Up, Girls! episode 10), who takes over for previous director Yutaka Yamamoto. Miyuki Sugawara is now on character designs, based on the originals by Sunao Chikaoka, and the main house of production will be Millepensee.
