Last time we got an update on the fourth My Hero Academia movie, it was set for summer 2024, shortly after season 7’s planned May 4, 2024 premiere. Now an official premiere date has been locked in for Japan, and the news came along with the film’s full title, staff and a new trailer and visual.

The title this time around will be My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next, and it’s set to open in Japan on August 2, 2024. Check out the new trailer below.

In addition to My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi as general supervisor and character designer, the staff includes director Tensai Okamura, writer Yosuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, music composer Yuki Hayashi, animation advisor Kenji Nagasaki and anime studio BONES. The main voice cast returns for more, and the story will be set within the season 7 timeline.

Crunchyroll streams the My Hero Academia anime and describes the story like so:

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
