Amazingly, this year’s Crayon Shin-chan movie will be the series’s 30th feature anime film. Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on April 22, and a new trailer is here to preview the big screen outing along with the theme song, Ryokuoushoku Shakai’s “Hi wa Mata Noboru” (“The Sun Will Rise Again”).
The song’s CD single hits stores in Japan on April 20, and here’s what the band had to say about the opportunity: “We have been raised on ‘Crayon Shin-chan,’ reading the manga and watching the anime many times, so we were really honored and happy to be asked to work on the theme song for the film. However, that made us nervous and we felt a lot of responsibility, but we were able to write this song with confidence.”

30-second teaser:
Masakazu Hashimoto (TARI TARI) is directing the film—following up on the same duties for movies 21, 23, and 27—and Hashimoto also co-wrote the screenplay with Kimiko Ueno (The Royal Tutor).
