yuri is my job!

A new trailer, visual and premiere date have all been revealed for the Yuri is My Job! anime, which was previously announced to adapt the manga by Miman back in May of last year. Check out the latest preview below while we wait for the series to premiere in Japan on April 6.

The anime is being made at Passione and Studio Lings, with Infinite producing. It’s being directed by Hijiri Sanpei, who previously worked on Wasteful Days of High School Girls. Character design has been tasked to Taisuke Iwasaki.

The manga debuted in late fall of 2016, being published in Comic Yuri Hime magazine. Most recently the tenth volume was released in Japan. In America, the most recent volume to be released is volume 8, which came out in March.

Kodansha Comics publishes the English version of the original manga. It rates the series 13+, labels it as both “yuri” and “comedy.” Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs, describing the series like so:

Hime gets roped into working at a weird café where the waitresses pretend to be students at an all-girl boarding school. She’s strangely taken with her partner Mitsuki, who’s so kind to her in front of the customers. There’s just one problem…Mitsuki really can’t stand her!
