An anime adaptation is on the way for Shotan’s You are Ms. servant manga, and a bunch of details rolled out this week. In addition to announcing an October 2024 premiere window, the official site updated with a new teaser trailer and visual, as well as an overview of the main cast and staff behind the production.
You are Ms. servant is being directed by Ayumu Watanabe (Children of the Sea), with Deko Akao (Komi Can’t Communicate) overseeing scripts, Tomoyasu Kurashima (Infinite Stratos) handling character designs and Masahiro Tokuda (Platinum End) on music for the FelixFilm production.
The series has Toshiki Kumagai and Reina Ueda in the leads as Hitoyoshi Yokoya and Yuki/Xue, respectively.
The You are Ms. servant manga first launched via Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry platform in 2020, with seven collected volumes out so far in Japan. The series is available in English through Shogakukan Asia, which sums up the story like so:
This is the story of a maid who is all alone in the world, but who finally finds a family.
Told from young that her only worth is as a killer, Yuki had known nothing else except cold efficiency and following orders. Now that she has a chance to leave her past behind, she arrives at the doorstep of Hitoyoshi Yokoya, asking to be employed… as a maid?!
