A TV anime adaptation of Ayuko Hatta’s Wolf Girl & Black Prince manga is set to premiere in Japan this October. The romantic comedy series is directed by Kenichi Kasai (Bakuman., Nodame Cantabile), with Sawako Hirabayashi (scripts for My Little Monster and WATAMOTE) on series composition for the TYO Animations production.
The series follows a vain 16-year-old, Erika Shinohara, who lies to her friends about romantic exploits despite not having a boyfriend. When she claims a handsome boy in one of her candid photos is her boyfriend, she ends up having to make said boy, a schoolmate named Kyōya Sata, her fake boyfriend. This backfires when it turns out Kyōya is a sadist who takes advantage of Erika and treats her like his dog.
Cast in the anime includes Kanae Itō as Erika and Takahiro Sakurai as Kyōya. Check out the first promotional video below.
