Good news for Unnamed Memory fans. Unnamed Memory Act.2, also known as Unnamed Memory season 2, has just dropped its official main visual.
The series is set to premiere January 7.
The first season, which consisted of 12 episodes, is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
The Unnamed Memory anime is being made at ENGI, with Kazuya Miura of Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs helming the project as director. The person handling series scripts is Deko Akao, who is known for working on Komi Can’t Communicate and The Case Study of Vanitas. The music is composed by Akito Matsuda, whose credits include Sound! Euphonium and Liz and the Blue Bird.
The series started out as light novels by Kuji Furumiya and also has a manga adaptation from Naoki Koshimizu. Yen Press publishes both versions in America and gave this description for the story:
Witches—the centuries-old mages that command power immense enough to bring catastrophe. Oscar, the crown prince of the powerful kingdom of Farsas, was cursed as a young boy to never sire an heir. Hoping to break the magic, he seeks out Tinasha, the strongest witch on the continent. To meet her, he climbs her tower, as she is said to grant the wish of any who successfully do so. Yet, when he arrives at the top…he requests that Tinasha become his bride!
The light novels got their start in 2012, being published on the website “Shōsetsuka ni Narō.” Seven years later they got picked up by Kadokawa for print editions, and received artwork from chibi.
The guidebook Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) from 2020 gave the light novels the honor of the number one spot.
