The Undead Murder Farce anime doesn’t premiere until July 5, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early for a look at how it begins and ends. The official accounts went ahead and shared a peek at creditless versions of the opening and ending themes, starting with CLASS:y OP “Clack-Clack-Clackle” before moving on to Anna ED “reversal.”
The anime is being made at Lapin Track with Mamoru Hatakeyama of Kaguya-sama: Love is War helming the project as the director. The jobs of sub-character design and chief animation directing are both being done by Naho Kozono from Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. Character design is being done by Noriko Itou of Kakegurui, using the original designs by Zerogo Iwamoto. The music is being composed by Yuma Yamaguchi, who is known for working on I’M KODAMA KAWASHIRI. The task of sound direction has been given to Kazuhiro Wakabayashi, who has worked on Bungo Stray Dogs.
The manga adaptation has been licensed in America by Kodansha USA Publishing and is being published digitally. Kodansha gave this description for the first one:
The end of the 19th century—a vampire’s wife is murdered, and the detective known as the ‘cage user’ is called in to solve the crime. But there’s more to the detective and the curtained birdcage he carries…after all, when solving a case involving a monster, it might just take one to know one!
