ufotable Teases Upcoming Demon Slayer Mocktail Bar

Anime studio ufotable is no stranger to cafés, as it runs its own specialty cafés in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokushima and Fukuoka. Now it’s teased its upcoming ufotable Mocktail Bar Ginza, which has a Demon Slayer theme.

ufotable shared the news on social media with a short video of the Hashira dressed in waiter uniforms.

Translated, it reads:

This spring, following ufotable Cafe, ufotable DINING, and Machi★Asobi CAFE,
a new brand produced by ufotable,
“ufotable MOCKTAIL BAR GINZA,” will be launched.

We look forward to welcoming you all in Ginza.
Please stay tuned for further updates.

Not a lot of information has been released about it yet. It’s having its pre-opening in the middle of this month, with a full opening sometime this spring, and its website announces that it’s currently hiring staff. So far there’s not word on what sort of beverages or foods it might offer, though it’s sure to be themed.

The series previously had a special, limited-time Demon Slayer restaurant at Universal Studios Japan. Menu offerings included “Hashira Tengen’s Modern Sushi,” “Hashira Mitsuri’s Pork Cutlet Set,” and “Hashira Sanemi’s Ohagi Rice Dumplings.”

So far ufotable hasn’t clarified if this new café will be a limited-edition one, or a more permanent fixture in Ginza.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, the first movie in a trilogy, will be hitting Japanese theaters in July, and will reach North American theaters on September 12.

VIZ Media publishes the Demon Slayer manga by Koyoharu Gotouge and gave this description for the first volume:

Demon Slayer Plot

Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!
