Toei Animation has a new anime film in the works for the Tropical-Rouge! PreCure series. Titled Tropical-Rouge! PreCure the Movie: The Snow Princess and the Miraculous Ring! (Eiga Tropical-Rouge! Precure: Yuki no Princess to Kiseki no Yubiwa!), the feature will mix the Tropical-Rouge! PreCure and Heartcatch PreCure! series when it opens in Japan on October 23.
This one finds Manatsu and others invited to the wintry land of Shantia by the princess Sharon, after which a mysterious monster attacks and the land is quickly closed off. The role of Sharon will go to Marika Matsumoto, known for voicing characters like Maya Tomi in Fafner and Miwako Sakurada in Paradise Kiss, among others.
The film is being directed by Junji Shimizu, with Yoshimi Narita on the script, Shiho Terada composing music, and Ken Ueno on character designs and chief animation direction.
