April 1 marks the premiere of the Train to the End of the World (Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku?) anime, and ahead of that a new character trailer is here to focus on one of the cast members. This one is all about Nadeshiko Hoshi, AKA Nadeko, as voiced in the anime by Azumi Waki (Anne Shelley in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!). You can familiarize yourself with her in the brief promo below.

In addition to Azumi Waki, the cast includes Erisa Kuon as Reimi Kuga, Hina Kino as Akira Shinonome, Chika Anzai as Shizuru Chikura, Nao Toyama as Yoka Nakatomi and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Zenjiro.

Outside of Japan, Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs.

Tsutomu Mizushima (GIRLS und PANZER) is directing, with Michiko Yokote on series composition, namo on original character designs and Asako Nishida adapting character designs and providing chief animation direction.

The story finds an unusual event befalling the residents of a rural Japanese town, after which lead character Shizuru Chikura and her friends end up commandeering an abandoned train and embarking on a journey to the outside world. When we catch up with them, they’re on the hunt for Shizuru’s best friend who mysteriously disappeared.
