Yen Press has been publishing Iro Aida’s popular Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga both physically and digitally, and now it’s about to enter the realm of simulpubs. Yen Press announced that the manga will begin to be published simultaneously with Japan, with chapters 92-95 set for a March 7 digital launch.
The Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga first launched in the pages of Square Enix’s G Fantasy magazine back in 2014. So far 19 volumes have been published in Japan and 17 have been published in North America. The manga inspired a TV anime adaptation in 2020.
Here’s how Yen Press describes the series:
“Hanako-san, Hanako-san…are you there?”
At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school’s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls’ bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom…but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy’s Hanako-san…is a boy!
