The World’s Finest Assassin Drops New Trailer with Theme Song

The anime adaptation of the light novels The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in a Different World as an Aristocrat will hit Japanese TV on October 6. Ahead of this a trailer has dropped that lets us hear the opening theme song “Dark Seeks Light” performed by Yui Ninomiya and gives more info on the cast and crew.

According to the trailer, Toshiyuki Morikawa plays Lugh’s dad Cian, Chiaki Takahashi plays Lugh’s mom Ethilu, Yukari Tamura plays the Goddess, and Junpei Morita plays the Assassin.

Looking toward the crew, the Chief Animation Director is Kaori Yoshikawa, Sub-Design is being done by Arisa Fujii, Weapon Design is being done by Yoshihiro Ujiie, Prop Designis being done by Akane Imada, both Art Director and Art Design are being done by Hiroya Yoshiyama, Art Assistance is being done by Asuka Komiyama, Color Design is being done by Hayato Yoshida, Director of Photography is Yūko Shintani, Graphic Design is being done by Susumu Kashiwabara, the 3D Director is Keiichi Eda, Editing is being done by Michi Takigawa, Audio Director is Masanori Tsuchiya, Sound Effects are being done by Kiyotaka Kawada, and Sound Production is being done by Glovision. Lantis is producing the music, which is being composed by Kenichi Kuroda.

It had previously been revealed that Kenji Akabane plays Lugh, Reina Ueda plays Dia, Yūki Takada plays Tarte, and Shino Shimoji plays Macha.

Yen Press publishes the original light novels in North America, and the publisher gave this description for the setup:

“When a great assassin is reborn in another world, he finds himself the heir to a long line of killers from the shadows. With both his modern-day knowledge and experience and the special magic and techniques of this new world, he could very well become the most unstoppable assassin in history…!”
