Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 Drops Fresh TrailerThe Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 is just days away from its October 6 premiere, and now we’ve got a fresh trailer for the upcoming season.

The trailer gives us the first listen to the new ending theme, “Suki ni nattewaikenai riyū” by Chiai Fujikawa.

In other news, the manzai comedy duo Tokyo Hoteison have been announced as “special supporters” of the show, whatever that means! There’s a 20-minute video out with the duo talking about the series and the upcoming season.

The new season is directed by Hitoshi Haga. Its new opening theme song is titled “SIN” and performed by MADKID.

The original light novel series and its manga adaptation are both published in America by One Peace Books. The publisher gave this description for the first novel:

Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield. Now, Naofumi must rise to become the legendary Shield Hero and save the world!
