The season finale of The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies aired on September 24, and shortly after a new music video debuted. This one features the ending song, “Itsumo Futari ga Iine” (“It’s good that the two of us are always together”), as performed in-character by Mira VA Yuki Ono and Byakuya Mimori VA Mai Nakahara.

The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies anime is directed by Akiyo Ohashi (The Stranger by the Shore), with Yuniko Ayana (given) on series composition, Haruko Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) on character designs and MAYUKO (Ranking of Kings) handling music for the BONES production.

An evil organization invades and destroys everything in its path. The brains of the brutal operation is the king’s right-hand man, an evil lieutenant named Mira. Everything changes when a magical girl named Byakuya Mimori tries to stop the evil group in their tracks. When Mira confronts her, he knows it’s love at first sight. What will become of Mira and Byakuya, stuck between orders and love?
Original author Cocoa Fujiwara, who also created Inu x Boku SS, passed away in 2015.
