It’s time to bid farewell to the manga adaptation of Nana Mikoshiba’s The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World light novel series. The manga version by Norihito Sasaki launched via Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket in June 2020, and it officially came to an end along with the publication of the 132nd chapter, which debuted on January 31, 2024.

The 15th and final collected volume has already shipped in Japan.

The original The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World story launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October 2019, followed by the full light novel series—complete with illustrations by Riko Korie—in July 2020. A TV anime adaptation aired in January 2023 and streamed on Crunchyroll alongside its Japanese airing.

Kodansha USA describes the manga like so:

The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite…and Ray White is just your ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem particularly skilled with magic at all, and is a bit of a klutz. Which is why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class…right?
