Visuals and a cast member have been revealed for Ornest Rain, the freshest addition to the cast of The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest. As the anime adaptation of Alto and Yuunagi’s light novel series of the same name gears up for an October premiere, you can see the latest to get in on the action.

Masaaki Mizunaka (Keisuke Baji in Tokyo Revengers) will voice Ornest. The character’s design is featured at the top of the article, and there’s also the visual below.

Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimsondirects the anime, with Masamune Hirata as assistant director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu as series composition writer and Yoko Sato as character designer for the studio GEKKOU production.

K Manga publishes Yuki Moji’s manga adaptation in English and sums up the story:

“I don’t need a worthless mage who can only use support magic. You’re fired.”

Alec, a court magician who supported the crown prince from behind the scenes, suddenly finds himself exiled from the royal court.
