Table Tennis Manga Joins Shonen Jump
Viz Media recently kicked off a “Jump Start” program to introduce new series to the English Weekly Shonen Jump alongside their Japanese debuts. The series will run for at least their first three chapters, and the next round is about to begin just as Naruto ends.
The latest series to join the lineup is Furuya Itsuki’s Takujo no AGEHA: The Table Tennis of AGEHA. The “high tension ping pong manga” originally debuted as a one-shot in the Japanese edition of Weekly Shonen Jump. It’s now making the transition to a full series in Japan, so we get to give it a shot in English at the same time.
After the Jump Start series run for three chapters, readers will be able to vote which ones will join the magazine’s regular lineup.
