SPY x FAMILY Attraction Makes Universal Studios Japan Debut

spy x family

The SPY x FAMILY attraction recently launched at Universal Studios Japan, and it sounds like fans who check it out will be able to get in on a little adventure of their own. According to a report from Mainichi Shimbun’s Mantan Web, the attraction mixes puzzle-solving elements with a live show, and of course there are plenty of goods and themed menu items available to purchase along the way.

The puzzle-solving rally puts attendees in the role of a new agent of Westalian Intelligence department WISE, and the Top Secret Mission Instructions, AKA the rally booklet, point visitors to park locations that are home to secret codes. Solving these puzzles will grant them entry to a live show during which Loid will deliver a very important message, and Anya and Yor will also make appearances.

Some of the merch available includes child-sized Eden Academy uniform tunics, a Chimera pencil case and character-print masking tape. Among the themed food items are Anya-style churros, Chimera-shaped steamed buns and more. Fans will be able to check out all this and more while the attraction runs until July 2.

The SPY x FAMILY anime recently took home some big honors at the Tokyo Anime Film Festival. Next up for the adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s manga is a second season and a movie, both due out this year.

Crunchyroll currently streams the SPY x FAMILY anime and describes it like so:

World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
