Shadows House Manga Takes Month-Long Break

shadows house manga

The Shadows House manga is taking a month off, but thankfully it’s not due to any health-related concerns. According to this year’s 18th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, manga author duo so-ma-to will be using the hiatus to work on illustrations for a local art exhibit.

Shadows House will be back in the pages of Young Jump on May 9, which is when this year’s 23rd issue hits stands in Japan.

Yen Press publishes the manga in English and sums up the story like so:

In the depths of a murky mansion lives a group of enigmatic nobles known as…the Shadow family. With no visible features to speak of, these mysterious aristocrats employ living dolls to act as their “faces.” Kate and Emilico are one such pair of mistress and servant, dwelling in their own little world and learning from each other bit by bit with every new day. But in a house of locked doors, living according to rules from no apparent source—how long can their blissfully peaceful existence truly last…?

The Shadows House manga has been running since September 2018, and previously inspired two seasons of TV anime.
