Can you really call it an anime if it doesn’t eventually have a hot spring episode? Winter 2020 anime Seton Academy: Join the Pack! is playing into that classic trope with a special episode that’s set to launch alongside the third volume of the Japanese Blu-ray releases, which hits shelves over there on July 3.
In addition to the regular episodes of the TV anime, each volume of the Japanese Blu-ray sets will come with a special booklet and a new manga by the original author, Bungo Yamashita. The new hot spring episode that comes with volume 3 is titled “Seton Academy Diary EX: Animal Girls’ Warning for Chill after Bath.”
Seton Academy: Join the Pack! premiered in Japan on January 6, and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Here’s the synopsis:
Seton Academy, a school where animals of all species gather to live and learn together. A sacred garden of learning, where students hone their primal instincts and the laws are of the jungle. Where species pit against species in a daily struggle for survival… Now enter the animal-hating human Jin Mazama, and the lonely wolf Ranka Okami. When man meets wolf in an encounter for the ages, this food chain is about to be shook. “Species shmecies! If we’ve shared face-licks, you’re a friend to me! Welcome to the pack!”
