Say “I Love You.” Live-Action Film Teased
Asako Hyuga is writing and directing a live-action film adaptation of Kanae Hazuki’s popular shoujo manga Sukitte Ii na yo (Say “I Love You.”), and it’s set to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 12. Haruna Kawaguchi plays Mei Tachibana opposite Sota Fukushi as Yamato Kurosawa, and a new teaser showcases a kissing scene between the two.
The manga—which tells a love story between Tachibana, who has never had a boyfriend, and Kurosawa, the most popular boy in school—has been serialized in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine since 2008, and was previously adapted into a 13-episode anime. Have a look at the film’s 30-second teaser below.
