The first of two Sailor Moon Eternal films opens in Japan on January 8, 2021, following a delay that pushed it back from its original September 11 plans. Despite all the recent reveals, there’s still plenty of mystery surrounding the film, including who will play the enemy known as Zirconia. A Twitter campaign has now launched, giving fans a chance to take a guess for themselves.
The appropriately named “Who’s the Voice of Zirconia?” campaign is live from now until September 10, with the voice cast member voicing Zirconia in the Sailor Moon Eternal films to be revealed on September 11. Fans—including you!—can take a guess on Twitter by using the hashtags #劇場版セーラームーン and #ジルコニアの声優は誰だ, and you can see the teaser featuring the voice of Zirconia below.
The Sailor Moon Eternal films cover the Dead Moon arc from Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga, effectively serving as the fourth arc of the Sailor Moon Crystal anime. Part two will follow the act of the first when it premieres in Japan on February 11, 2021. Prior to COVID-19 changes, the first part was scheduled to premiere in Japan on September 11, 2020, followed by the second at the end of the year.
