There are a lot of factors that can test even the strongest of friendships in high school. But what if said friendship ends up becoming something more? Find out what happens in

, available for pre-order now in advance of an August 4 release.

The situation above is exactly what’s going on with Haruka Takayama and Yuu Sonoda. They grew up as best friends since junior high school, but things change when they’re seated on opposite sides of the classroom when high school starts. Rather than growing more distant in response to their separation, the two decide to seal their friendship with a kiss, sparking a whole new level of feelings between the two.

Sakura Trick started off as a four-panel yuri manga series by Tachi, serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine starting in 2011. The anime adaptation features direction by Kenichi Ishikura (episodes of Paradise Kiss, Hidamari Sketch), who also handles series composition for the Studio DEEN production.

With all 12 episodes along with clean versions of the opening and closing animation,

is perfect for a little comedy and a little slice of life, with a heaping helping of romance on the side.
