Are you a fan of Rising of the Shield Hero? Ever wanted to read a manga based entirely on main character Naofumi Iwatani’s cooking skills?
Well, that’s an oddly specific wish, but congrats, gourmet fans: now you can.
The first collected volume of the new spinoff manga, The Menu of the Shield Hero, is out now in Japan. The cover features Naofumi serving up a piping raw steak, and the first chapter seems to involve him grilling some monster meat over the fire. Yum!
The manga is written by Amamichi Akano. It first began serialization on website Comic Walker last September.
Meanwhile, the Rising of the Shield Hero anime is gearing up for a second and third season.
