Re:ZERO

A new trailer has dropped for the third season of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, and it includes more details on the cast as well as the new theme songs. Take a look (and listen):

According to the trailer, Shoya Ishige plays Joshua Juukulius, Kotaro Nishiyama plays Kiritaka Muse, Kenjiro Tsuda plays Heinkel Astrea, and Chika Anzai plays Sirius Romanée-Conti.

The new opening theme song is titled “Reweave” and performed by Konomi Suzuki. The song’s lyrics were penned by Sabo Karasuya. Meanwhile, the new ending theme song is called “NOX LUX” and performed by MYTH & ROID. Suzuki, MYTH & ROID have also contributed music to the show in the past.

This new key visual was unveiled as well.

The season’s first episode is “Gekijō-gata Akui” (translated as “Theatrical Malice”) and will be a longer than average 90 minutes long. Kadokawa will be playing the start of the season in Japanese theaters for a couple of weeks, beginning on August 30. Crunchyroll will also screen the first episode on July 5 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, as part of its large offering of panels and premieres. Likewise, when the season starts in October, Crunchyroll will be streaming it simultaneously with its Japanese release. It already has previous seasons and OVAs streaming on its platform.

Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home from the convenience store when he finds himself transported to another world. As he’s lost and confused in a new world where he doesn’t even know left from right, the only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she’s looking for…
