Relax a While – These Fall Anime Will Continue into 2024!

These fall anime will continue into 2024!It’s December… and that means the slow approach of the end of the fall anime season. Many shows we’ve loved over the last few months are careening into their final episodes. But that’s not the case for everything. A few shows still have story left in them—enough to carry us into 2024!

Thus, take stock of this list of a few titles we’re looking forward to seeing continue into the new year. And if you’re a bit behind on your viewing, rest easy: you still have time to catch up on these!

Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange

Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange

This story of aspiring firefighters training to save lives is lighting up the fall anime season. While the show may take its name from protagonist Toake Daigo, the show actually zeroes in on a trio of trainees. Each of them has their own motivation for donning the orange suits. And those motivations are so weighty, they’re willing to go above and beyond to save just one more life.

So far, we’ve learned a bit about the shared pasts of Daigo, Yuki, and Shun. Tragedy, love, and determination linked these three even before they enlisted. Their respective motivations can lead them to make dangerous choices—great for their rescuees, but very in need of balance. As the show continues into 2024, we can’t wait to see how these three grow and change.

Undead Unluck

Undead Unluck

This wicked sick addition to the fall anime lineup is jam-packed with story. Undead Unluck is full of twists and turns, throwing you for a loop with every new episode. How can anyone hope to fit all that action into one cour? They can’t. That’s why it’s getting, as far as we know, at least two.

The adventures of the unkillable Andy and the luckless Fuuko will spread into 2024 at the very least. This will give plenty of time to explore the ever-expanding truth of their world, the Negators, and the Rules they fight. And past that? We’ll have to wait and see, but fingers crossed this will be one that comes back for future seasons.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

A centuries-old elf definitely requires more than one season to get her story told! The slow-burn Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End kicked off with a four-episode debut, meaning we’re already a standard season deep. But if you’re as addicted to this fantasy series as we are, even that won’t be enough. So we’re in luck, as the projected episode count currently stands at 28.

As Frieren and her new party journey further north, many more challenges lie in store. They’ll met powerful mages, potential allies, and more on their journey. Since the manga is still well underway, we won’t see her new journey’s end just yet. But we will get to spend some quality time with her along the way.

Need a reading break? These manga have kicked off interesting new arcs!
