Reincarnated as a Sword, a series of isekai light novels by Yū Tanaka, are being reincarnated as anime series on TV.

We’ve got not one but three new illustrations to celebrate the news, by novel illustrator LLO, manga illustrator Tomowo Maruyama, and spinoff manga artist Hinako Inoue.

Seven Seas releases the light novels and manga in English. Here’s how they describe volume 1 of the original light novels:

Reincarnated as a sentient weapon with memories of his past life, but not his name, a magical sword saves a young beastgirl from a life of slavery. Fran, the cat-eared girl, becomes his wielder, and wants only to grow stronger, while the sword wants to know why he is here. Together, the strange duo’s journey has only just begun!
