RDG: Red Data Girl Gets Animated

RDG: Red Data Girl is a light novel series by Noriko Ogiwara, and as is the case with many a light novel, it’s making its way to television in its very own anime series from P.A. Works (Angel Beats!, Hanasaku Iroha, Tari Tari).

The adaptation—directed by Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler) and featuring the voice behind Oreimo‘s Ayase Aragaki as the lead—finally has a preview available, and you can check it out below.

Synopsis:

Wildlife species who are at risk of going extinct are listed on the IUCN Red Data List and are protected. However, the plot of this fantasy series is about what if wildlife were not the only things…? Izumiko Suzuhara, who is now in her 3rd year of elementary school, has lived at the Tamakura Shrine all her life and has never left the mountain. Suddenly, her grandfather suggests that she change schools to one in Tokyo, the Houjyou academy, attended by a number of students with special circumstances.

RDG is set to air in Japan next year.
