Promo and Details Surface for Persona 3 Anime Movie

The official website for the upcoming Persona 3 anime movie recently updated with a healthy chunk of new information, including a premiere date and details on the production’s staff and cast. Titled Persona 3 the Movie #1: Spring of Birth, the movie is set to arrive in Japanese theaters this fall.

Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman.) is directing Persona 3, with Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation) supervising, and animation production by AIC A.S.T.A. Persona 4 episode writer Jun Kumagai is in charge of scripts, and regular Shin Megami Tensei game composer Shoji Meguro is handling the music. Check out the trailer below.

The protagonist, now named Makoto Yuki, is being voiced by Akira Ishida, who also played Evangelion‘s Kaworu and Naruto‘s Gaara. The game’s cast is also returning to voice their respective roles. Some of the principal cast members include Megumi Toyoguchi (Winry in Fullmetal Alchemist) as Yukari Takeba, Kousuke Toriumi (Kiba in Naruto) as Junpei Iori, and Rie Tanaka (Maria in Hayate the Combat Butler) as Mitsuru Kirijo.
