Porno Graffitti Performs Theme Song for Next Pokemon Film

Porno Graffiti Performs Theme Song for Next Pokemon FilmPorno and Pokemon: two words once used together only on the dirtiest, darkest corners of the internet.

But no longer. Japanese band Porno Graffitti will perform the theme song for the next Pokemon movie, it was announced today.

The song is called “Breath,” and you can hear a short clip of it in a preview released for the film today.

The film, by the way, is subtitled Minna no Monogatari, which means Everyone’s Story. It’s the 21st theatrical film in the franchise, and will open July 13.

Animated at Wit Studio (Attack on Titan), Everyone’s Story is directed by Tetsuo Yajima, assistant director of last year’s I Choose You.

The film takes place during the Wind Festival at Frau City, and introduces a new Mythical Pokemon, Zeraora.

Porno Graffitti’s Haruichi Shindo commented, “just like Pokemon, humans are capable of fantastic change, but sometimes that change doesn’t work out. At times like that, the only thing to do is to cheer yourself up. I hope our song can express that kind of feeling.”

Here’s looking forward to a very innocent combination of Porno and Pokemon.
