Pokkén Tournament Hits Wii U in 2016

Bandai Namco’s Pokémon fighting game Pokkén Tournament is currently lighting up Japanese arcades. This week The Pokémon Company International and Bandai Namco took the stage at the Pokémon World Championships in Boston to announce home console plans, with the fighter set to launch on Wii U worldwide in spring 2016.

The playable roster includes the likes of Pikachu, Charizard, Machamp, Blaziken, and more, and the Wii U announcement trailer reveals a new challenger. Yep, it’s time to prepare to face the masked wrath of Pikachu Libre! See the extra-electric addition and the rest of the current roster in action below.
