The Play It Cool, Guys anime—based on the manga by Kokone Nata—is set to continue with a second cour, and with it will come a new ending theme. As revealed on the official website, the ED will be “Taisetsu” (“Precious”), which will be performed by the voice actor unit PICG that consists of protagonist VAs Chiaki Kobayashi, Kouki Uchiyama, Yuichiro Umehara and Shoya Chiba.
The song—which features writing, composition and arrangement by Saeki YouthK—will see its album launch on February 23, and the ending theme video will hit YouTube on January 2.
The Play It Cool, Guys adaptation is being directed by Chiaki Kon (Golden Time), with Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA) on series composition and Eri Taguchi (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! key animation) on character designs and chief animation direction.
Crunchyroll started streaming the anime in October. Yen Press publishes the manga in English and describes it:
Enter: a group of cool guys who seem like they’ve got that unapproachable swag. But look closer and you’ll find a bunch of dorks who’ve gotten the act down pat. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy watching these clumsy dudes try to look cool all day, every day.
