Thanksgiving is going to be pretty different for many Americans this year. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is still happening, though people will only be able to watch it on their screens, not on the pavement. But the familiar face of Pikachu will be there as one of the balloons.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade wrote, “Pokémon’s most electrifying ambassador makes its 20th consecutive Parade appearance. Pikachu — dressed in a cozy holiday scarf and carrying a Snowman Pikachu — is ready to embrace the chilly NYC weather on Parade morning, helping millions of fans worldwide celebrate the official start of the holiday season.”
The Pikachu balloon is 53 feet tall (the equivalent of a four story building!), a whopping 36 feet long and a whole 29 feet wide.
