Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise, a cinematic adaptation of the manga by Kazuyoshi Takeda about an infamous World War II battle, has unveiled a new trailer and some staff and cast details.
The film hits Japanese theaters on December 5. The tagline on the poster reads “these two made a promise: to stay alive.”
Revealed today were cast members Rihito Itagaki and Tomoya Nakamura. Itagaki plays manga artist Hitoshi Tamaru, while Nakamura plays his sidekick Keisuke Yoshiki. Both are stationed on the island of Peleliu during the months-long Battle of Peleliu which took place during WWII between Japan and the US in 1944.
